Fascia-nating Function and Fat Loss – Part 1

Okay, I know I’m no rocket scientist. And I’m no doctor either (although I play one on TV)….

But I’m gonna venture to say that if I were either one (rocket scientist or doctor) and I put together a little test group of 20 people that were looking for increased function, fat loss, and muscle tone.  If half the group did a dynamic warmup and a functional training workout 3X per week for 8 weeks, and the other half of the group did EXACTLY the same warmup and workout BUT added in soft tissue work such as foam rolling, massage, or any other type of myofacial release before and after their workout. I would could tell you with almost-certainty that the latter group would see more fat loss, more function, more muscle tone, and overall better results than the non-myofacial-release group.

What I’m saying is this:

That’s right! You change your tissue quality, and you will LOSE MORE FAT. It can literally be like your at-home liposuction treatment….and this is coming from a gal that think that typical Liposuction is the easy way out….the lazy man’s workout… the wrong approach.
